The Secret is out!

The Secret is out!

I have been waiting for this day!  I am so excited to share with you the secret to all of my recipes.  It is Auntie’s Gluten Free flour.  This is her story – ‘When people come into my home I want them to enjoy what I have cooked, not apologize for it being gluten free.  With a growing family of my husband and five children, two of which of have special dietary needs, I discovered I was gluten intolerant.  As my family and I adopted a gluten free lifestyle I noticed that a good, easy to use, all purpose gluten free flour did not exist.  With over 20 years of cooking experience, I set out to develop a flour that I could use in my cooking without alterations.  Our recipe, which we have perfected over the last decade, substitutes for regular flour cup for cup, and doesn’t compromise taste.’

This past weekend, Dave, I and Bekah loaded a trailer full of flour and baked goods and helped our friends the Peterson’s, launch Auntie’s Foods at the Glutenology Expo in Houston.  Auntie’s booth was the the hit of the expo! People were amazed with the smooth texture and incredible taste of Aunties flour and couldn’t get enough of their samples of brownies, snicker doodles, molasses cookies and chicken salad on cream puffs.  It was exciting to see everyone’s excitement and amazement at this incredible product.  They sold a ton!

I would highly recommend Auntie’s to anyone who is cooking/baking Gluten Free or is looking to live a healthier lifestyle.  There is no better GF flour blend on the market then Auntie’s.  We have made it easy for you to orders Auntie’s by putting a link on the right side of our home page.  Try it, your going to like it.  No – your going to love it!

Love Heidi

P.S. If you attended the Houston Glutenology Expo and enjoyed Auntie’s flour, please comment so others can read testimonials of this incredible GF flour blend.

Auntie’s flour is hands-down the best gluten free flour. I am not a celiac, and I can tell the difference between gluten free foods and products made with wheat flour. The taste and the texture is always different from “the real thing”. With Auntie’s flour, however, there’s virtually no difference in taste or texture. Have no fear inviting non-celiacs to dinner because they will not be able to tell the difference!

I bought some Auntie’s Flour Blend while at the expo and I absolutely love it! I just popped my second batch of brownies into the oven to take to a party tomorrow. The first batch was gone in no time!

My Dad and sister attended the expo in Houston. They both have celiac, but my family is GF by choice. I grew up eating horrible tasting GF products b/c my Dad has had celiac since I was a baby. My Dad picked me up some of this flour mix and it is the best thing I have ever eaten! SERIOUSLY! I have tasted GF products for probably 28 yrs and this mix is AMAZING! We are almost finished with our bag. I will order more and plan on telling our Natural Food Store to order some! YUM!

Isn’t it awesome!? We are so glad you like Aunties…we’re pretty obsessed with it too. Thanks so much for your lovely comments! We will pass them on to our friend Janene, aka “Auntie”.

      Thanks again!

I tried Auntie’s at the Houston Expo…it is fantastic stuff! I bought a bag and have had great success with it! The only downfall is it is not sold in stores…any chance that will happen soon? I find myself using it sparingly because I know I can’t run out and just buy it. Other than that, I think it is awesome!

So Bekah, Smith is my roommate and I love using this flour! I love baking for her and making her goodies that she can actually eat. I don’t suffer from and gluten illnesses but I have found that using this flour makes all of my creations more fluffy and moist. I think this is better than regular flour and I want more!! Thanks a lot for making this flour and making it possible for my Bekah to eat like a normal person :)
    Love, Tatiana Haar

I am thinking about trying Auntie’s flour blend. I haven’t been GF for too long, but, have tried several all purpose flour blends. The ones that I have tried have not had xantham gum in them. It looks like depending on what baked good you are making, you should use a different amount of the gum to make it come out right. How does it work when the gum is in the flour blend, leaving you unable to control how much you use in your recipes? Thanks for your help!!

Hi Kelly! Great question. To be honest, we don’t bake with many gluten free recipes that include xantham gum. Typically we use our old family recipes, or regular recipes, and just substitute Auntie’s cup for cup for regular flour. With 99% of the recipes we’ve tried substituting like this, the recipe came out perfect, with no needed adjustment on xantham gum. In other words, the amount of xantham gum in Auntie’s is typically the right proportion for a gluten free baked good. But, if you are worried about it, we estimate that Auntie’s has about 1/2 tsp xantham gum per cup of flour, so that should help you calculate.
