Stuff I Eat

Stuff I Eat

Gluten free stuff I ate last week, as recorded by my iPhone.

Can you believe all of this was gf? Also, can you believe I don’t weigh 400 pounds? It’s bound to happen one day.

(From left to right)

1. Gluten Free pancakes from Trader Joe’s, found in the frozen food section. Moist, fluffy, delicious.

2. Best donut of my life from Do-Rite Donuts in downtown Chicago. And it was gluten free.  If you didn’t already know, I am crazy about donuts, and this was the first homemade, old fashioned donut I’ve had since my diagnosis, about 4 years ago. If you visit Chicago and you’re gluten free, you just have to go. They also keep their GF donuts in a separate area. Chicago gf city guide coming soon.

3. Mexican hot chocolate and Mexican vanilla frozen yogurt from Xoco, also in downtown Chicago. Pretty much melted chocolate bar.

4. This beauty was a pork burger with ham and bacon, topped with barbecue sauce and apple slaw on a gluten free bun, with gluten free fries. From the Burger Bar in Chicago. I couldn’t believe my taste buds.

5. A bunless burger from Five Guys. Super tasty (though I had to eat it with a fork and knife). They asked if I had an allergy to gluten, and immediately changed their gloves.

6. Chili from Wendy’s…here’s their Gluten Free Menu.

Life is too short for crappy food. If you’re still eating cookies that taste like sand, stop.
