Last weekend was so much fun! Dave, Bekah and I hopped into the truck at 4:30 a.m. and drove to Houston for the Glutenology Expo. At the expo we heard informative speakers like Dr. Peter Osbourne and Mrs. United States, 2011 – Shannon Ford. What a sweet and kind person she was. We walked around the conference center and had incredible samples of GF foods. Some of our favorites were Kinnikinnick and Kettle Cuisine. The most popular booth was Auntie’s Foods who had samples of brownies, snicker doodles, molasses cookies and chicken salad on cream puffs. You could eat lunch at their booth! I was so excited to meet people who knew of helloglutenfree.com! I met a couple from New York who flew in for the Expo and Connor who was a young man with celiac disease who loved Auntie’s snicker doodles. It was comforting and insightful to visit with others who are experiencing the same challenges that our family does while trying to maintain a gluten free life that is easy and delicious. What a great time to meet new friends. I can’t wait to go back next year!
