Ah gravy! It is the perfect topping for mashed potatoes, dressing or a nice biscuit. How do you make it gluten free you ask? There are a couple of choices. You can either use corn starch or Auntie’s Gluten Free flour blend. If you want to make gravy for your Thanksgiving meal use the drippings from the Turkey. Put several cups of the liquid in a frying pan and heat to boil. While that is heating up take your flour blend or corn starch and place several tablespoons in a large measuring cup, add some water or GF chicken stock and mix with a small whisk until there is no more lumps (it will be a thin paste consistency). When your broth is boiling pour small amounts of the flour/starch mix into the pan and whisk to ensure no lumps. Keep adding the flour/starch mix until you get the thickness you desire. Be sure to add lots of salt and pepper and seasonings of your choice. This kind of recipe just takes trying until you get it the thickness and flavor you want. Don’t be discouraged if it is not perfect the first time!
