Rachel just text me to let me know that her and Niles just boarded their connecting flight and they will be home soon! Mason will be home on Tuesday. We are so excited for our family gathering for Thanksgiving. For us this involves loading up all the motorcycles, skeet shooting gear, dogs, travel trailers and family as we head on down to Sweet Home Texas for our family Thanksgiving and Schutzenfest at my brother-in-law, Tim’s, 85 acre family farm. My husband Dave will deep fry turkey’s while Lynne, Tim and I prepare cornbread dressing, sweet potatoes, heavenly hash, delicious yeast rolls and all the trimmings (all of it gluten free). Don’t worry, there will be a ton of desserts, our favorite part of any meal! Afterwards we will slip on the t-shirts my son Mason designed, where we will have a good ol’ shooting match ( Schutzenfest) with various targets. Watch out boys, the girls are super shots! Rachel is planning to take Bekah’s senior pictures while we are gathered at the farm as well. We will not be blogging next week so we can enjoy our family time, however, if you look underneath recipes and holiday recipes you will find some of our favorite holiday dishes. Rachel will be adding pictures to coincide with the recipes after our feast as well as some family photos. We hope everyone has a very blessed and safe Thanksgiving!
