Gluten Free Pull Apart Pizza Bread

When I think of gluten free food, I rarely think of the word indulgent. We all know that gluten free food can taste a little healthy sometimes. I love being healthy and eating foods that are good for me, but sometimes I just crave a giant burrito, or a buttery roll, or a cheesy, cheesy pizza…you know, something really special and really yummy and frankly, not healthy at all.

This recipe is perfect for that type of craving. The first time my mom and I made this, we pulled it out of the oven and gave it a little taste. Before we knew it we had eaten half of the pan, just standing at the kitchen island! It’s made from soft, buttery biscuits, tons of melted cheese, and yummy Italian seasonings. It pulls apart (so you can even eat it with your hands! gasp!) and you can dip it in your favorite pizza sauce. It’s indulgent, and we gluten free people don’t come across that type of food often enough.

You have to cut an entire food group out of your diet…you deserve this.

A couple of notes on this recipe:

  • We recommend using a low-fat pepperoni, like turkey pepperoni. Honestly, it’s not for the health benefits. 😉 Regular pepperoni can get a bit greasy which makes the bread much too greasy overall.
  • Don’t forget to lightly oil the pan! It will be quite hard to pull it out otherwise.

Gluten Free Pull Apart Pizza Bread

Ingredients

Pizza Bread

  • 2 Cups Mozzarella cheese
  • 2 Tbs. Italian Seasoning
  • 1/3 Cup Olive Oil
  • 1 Package Turkey Pepperoni (6 oz.)
  • 1 Cup Parmesean Cheese
  • 1/2 teaspoon Fresh Garlic

Directions

Step 1
Make one batch of biscuits. Roll out to about 1/2 inch. Cut biscuit dough into strips, then cut strips into bite size chunks. Place into a bowl.
Step 2
Cut turkey pepperoni into fourths. Put in bowl with biscuit dough. We tried this recipe with regular pepperoni and found that it stuck together and made the pull apart pizza bread very greasy. We decided that turkey pepperoni was better for our liking.
Step 3
Now wash your hands and roll up your sleeves. Mix all ingredients together very carefully. The biscuit dough tends to stick together so be sure to pull it apart and thoroughly mix all ingredients. Then place in a greased bundt pan.
Step 4
Bake in a preheated oven at 350 degrees for 30 minutes or until baked all the way through. The top will be brown. You will want to check to make sure the inside is cooked all the way through. Bake longer if needed.
Step 5
Let cool for five minutes then flip over on a plate. Don't forget to have some dipping sauce. Enjoy!
